Nach dem Absolvieren des Physik-Studiums an der Staatlichen Lomonosov-Universität (Moskau, Russland) verteidigte er 1991 seine Doktorarbeit am Lebedev-Institut für Physik (ebenfalls in Moskau, Russland). Kurz danach wurde er zum wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter am renommierten Landau-Institut für Theoretische Physik in Moskau. 1995 wanderte er nach Großbritannien aus und wurde zum Professor für Mathematische Physik am Department of Mathematics am Imperial College London. Alexander verstarb in London im April 2011.Ellen Tsitsishvili ist 1941 in Tbilisi (Georgien) geboren und promovierte 1970 an der Staatlichen Lomonosov-Universität (Moskau, Russland). Seit 1964 ist sie Professorin am Institut für Kybernetik (Tbilisi, Georgien). Ihr Fachgebiet ist die Theorie der kondensierten Materie. Seit vielen Jahren arbeitet sie in internationalen Kollaborationen mit den Forschern der Scuola Normale (Pisa, Italien), Universität Strasbourg (Frankreich), Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), Center of Functional Nanostructures (Karlsruhe) und Universität Kaiserslautern zusammen.Andreas Komnik ist 1972 in Karaganda (Kasachstan) geboren und studierte Physik an der Physikalisch-Technischen Hochschule (PhysTech) der Stadt Moskau (Russland) und Universität Freiburg, wo er 1999 promovierte. Danach war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Department of Mathematics des Imperial College London (Großbritannien) und an der CEA Saclay in Frankreich. Zwischen 2008 und 2013 war er Universitätsprofessor an der Universität Heidelberg. Seit 2013 ist er ein wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des FRIAS in Freiburg.

Seit vielen Jahren arbeitet sie in internationalen Kollaborationen mit den Forschern der Scuola Normale (Pisa, Italien), Universität Strasbourg (Frankreich), Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), Center of Functional Nanostructures (Karlsruhe) und Universität Kaiserslautern zusammen.Andreas Komnik ist 1972 in Karaganda (Kasachstan) geboren und studierte Physik an der Physikalisch-Technischen Hochschule (PhysTech) der Stadt Moskau (Russland) und Universität Freiburg, wo er 1999 promovierte. Danach war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Department of Mathematics des Imperial College London (Großbritannien) und an der CEA Saclay in Frankreich. Zwischen 2008 und 2013 war er Universitätsprofessor an der Universität Heidelberg. Seit 2013 ist er ein wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des FRIAS in Freiburg. 308 pp. Deutsch.
