The Rayas of Vijayanagar defeated the Gajapatis of Orissa during the time of Krishnadevaraya and made alliances with them. The Rayas subdued the Mainer dynasties that ruled south India particularly the Andhra and Tamil countries and founded a strong Hindu empire in South India. 100 pp. Englisch.
