Hardcover. Condizione: New. 1st Edition. The golden jubilee of India s independence has come at a time when the nation is passing through a turbulent period. Today, our society is facing the grave problems of casteism, untouchability, inequality and antagonism that are hindering development of the nation. It is high time to understand and evaluate Dr. Ambedkars philosophy, mission and the relevance of his ideas, thoughts and ideals in a proper perspective. The papers included in this volume reflect upon the multi-dimensional aspects of Dr. Ambedkar, specially in relation to social justice and welfare of weaker sections, caste, society and constitutional provisions. The book represents the analytical and thought-provoking views of eminent scholars, senior civil servants, lawyers and judges and educationists. It is an attempt to reassess Dr Ambedkar in the present socio-economic and political scenario. The book, which provides a rare opportunity to debate and discuss the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar in nation-building, will be of great interest to all sections of people. (jacket).…
