Rops was a painter, engraver and lithographer closely associated with the French Symbolists of late nineteenth century Paris. Letters are extracted from Maurice Kunel's book Félicien Rops: voyages et correspondence. Title page reproduces one of Rops's drawings. The brochure was designed by Fernand Baudin.
