Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject Leadership and Human Resource Management - Miscellaneous, grade: 1,7, Göteborg University, course: Business Communication, language: English, abstract: In today's complex societies the issue of communication gets one of the most challenging tasks among human beings. Especially in organizations the role of communication has become a key factor of success and gaining competitive advantage. The presence of communication is represented in every level of a company, ranging from the enterprise to the functional level. Meetings are used as intermediaries to find ways through implement company missions and visions from the strategic to the operational level. The following meeting arranged by the management is intended to involve all consultants to participate and take responsibility of increasing assignments but Göran is in argument with Torbjörn and MD Bertil. Torbjörn and Bertil expect Göran not only to arrange a LOOP-seminar and write sales letters about LOOP, which is what he proposed on the meeting, but also to take the responsibility of sending letters in addition to the general letter. The intentions of Bertil and Torbjörn were to get everyone to participate and to take on responsibility for increasing assignment, as well as to result in more sales initiatives. The goal of the following paper is to analyze the above mentioned meeting and its outcome out of two different perspectives. To reach this goal, first the problems during the meeting as well as the roles of the participants in the meeting are described, analyzed, and interpreted out of a perspective which focuses on the decision-making process itself. Second, several recommendations to improve the way of making decisions and the effectiveness of meetings are provided. Third, an analysis of the meeting with the focus on the use of accounts during the discussion is provided before ending with the conclusions. Additionally, it can be remarked that the analysis is mainly based on the theory of the textbook 'organizational communication' written by Katherine Miller as well as the literature provided in the task.…

Changes in the market environment, and a certain adjustment of the customers' needs, demand for a reaction in the market. Satisfying these changing needs, the importance of discounters in the retailing branch was more and more strengthened, since these markets are beginning to better meet the needs of the majority of customers in the market. Consequently discounters face a certain success and were able to grow and to capture new market shares of other retailing institutions by generating more and more sales. Therefore the aim of this paper is to provide a description of the current situation and the further expected development in the retailing market in Europe. To stress the importance of the discounters' influence on the market as well as the difference between different market's institutions satisfying various and differing needs of differentiating groups of customers, a comparison of an exemplary ordinary retailer, SPAR, and an exemplary discounter, the LIDL Stiftung & Co. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject Economics - Job market economics, grade: 1,7, Göteborg University, language: English, abstract: With four to seventeen percent unemployment rates, unemployment has become one of the most discussed topics in Europe. With a continued decrease in the number of people hired each year, this problem gains a special importance for young people. In 2004, within the European Union, more than 18,6 % people under the age of 25 were without a job. This is why during the election campaigns in 2005, in Germany, according to the electors the party's labour market policy was the most important subject for their decision. One reason for the long-lasting violent demonstrations in French suburbs last autumn was the inequitable chances for young people from these areas to get a job.Especially for young people, a hesitant and hard beginning in their professional life means a lack in their CV, which can become a big obstacle for later jobs and for their whole career. Furthermore, the first job is often seen as a way of finding identification. A bad start and several rejections can influence the motivation to work and the working performance of young people.…

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: 1,7, European Business School - International University Schloß Reichartshausen Oestrich-Winkel, language: English, abstract: Literature generally cites the low survival rate which family businesses face. Only 30 % of the companies further survive into the second generation, even only 15 % to 16 % into the third generation. Although many researchers see the most potential reason for this within the lack of adequate planning when company-owner hand over their businesses to offsprings or external managers , there exist various further reasons. In general, academics offer within their works a wide range of reasons, internal as well as external caused factors, which strongly influence the success of the succession within family businesses. Further, they developed several models and academic approaches to build up the process of succession and the mentioned different influences within holistic approaches of succession in family businesses to enable companies a successful handing over.Still, the situation in practice has not changed significantly since the current survival rate is steadily on a further low level. This could consequently reveal the hint of too little interaction between theory and practice respectively between academics and practitioners. Other branches showed the potential and the possible win-situations for both sides. Therefore, the research objective of this paper is to work out, to what extent a unique theoretical model is able to build up all relevant factors influencing the succession as an integrated process in theory to project this onto family businesses in practice and to provide solutions for succession within these companies. …

Therefore firstly, the definition as well as the reasons of the need of the implementation of functional orientation are shown. Secondly, the consequences and dangers of this approach on product development and market communication are presented and discussed.Further, the goal of the second part is to work out and describe the concepts of dematerialisation as well as functional orientation from a sustainable perspective. Therefore, the term 'dematerialisation' is definded and a brief general overview about the current situation is given. Secondly, this approach as well as the approach of functional orientation will be presented and discussed out of a sustainable perspective. Finally, the aim of the last elaboration is to work out the paradoxes between the theoretical approach of marketing, namely the foundations of marketing, and the concepts and values of a sustainable society. It will be conducted, what problems might appear when these two approaches are brought together. Therefore, first of all the theoretical foundations of marketing are named and described. Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. …

Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. …

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: 1,7, European Business School - International University Schloß Reichartshausen Oestrich-Winkel, language: English, abstract: Literature generally cites the low survival rate which family businesses face. Further, they developed several models and academic approaches to build up the process of succession and the mentioned different influences within holistic approaches of succession in family businesses to enable companies a successful handing over. Still, the situation in practice has not changed significantly since the current survival rate is steadily on a further low level. This could consequently reveal the hint of too little interaction between theory and practice respectively between academics and practitioners. Other branches showed the potential and the possible win-situations for both sides. Therefore, the research objective of this paper is to work out, to what extent a unique theoretical model is able to build up all relevant factors influencing the succession as an integrated process in theory to project this onto family businesses in practice and to provide solutions for succession within these companies.GRIN Publishing GmbH, Waltherstraße 23, 80337 München 24 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. This item is printed on demand - Print on Demand Titel. Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject Economics - Job market economics, grade: 1,7, Göteborg University, language: English, abstract: With four to seventeen percent unemployment rates, unemployment has become one of the most discussed topics in Europe. With a continued decrease in the number of people hired each year, this problem gains a special importance for young people. In 2004, within the European Union, more than 18,6 % people under the age of 25 were without a job. This is why during the election campaigns in 2005, in Germany, according to the electors the party¿s labour market policy was the most important subject for their decision. A bad start and several rejections can influence the motivation to work and the working performance of young people.GRIN Publishing GmbH, Waltherstraße 23, 80337 München 24 pp. Englisch. …

Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. 108 pp. Deutsch. …
