The author is from Western Kansas and grew up with a love for the west and for animals. He became a commercial artist and painted many western scenes. He later switched to sculpting and in 1968 devoted his full-time work to capturing the West in bronze only. Includes 120 two-color reproductions, 37 full-color plates, and other illustrations of his works. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
