A charming ephemeral production from the visionary children's educationcal publisher, Père Castor. Émigré artists like Feodor Rojankovsky, Guertik, Nathalie Parain, Alexandra Exter, and Georges Cherkessof, working within avant-garde Constructivist, Dadaist, and Minimalist art philosophies, gave the Père Castor books their greatest distinction and gained them long-lasting fame. 6.5'' x 7.25''. Original side-stapled color pictorial wrappers. Illustrated by Rojann with a full-page color lithograph for each month of the year. Text in French. [28] pages. Contemporary price sticker on rear pastedown. Light toning and slight rubbing to wrappers.
