Aggiungi al carrelloTaschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - In this heartwarming tale of love, loyalty, and sacrifice, young Willie finds his world turned upside down when his childhood friend Cuthbert enlists as a soldier and leaves their quiet village. Before departing, Cuthbert entrusts Willie with caring for his beloved Hildred. As the years pass with no word from Cuthbert, Willie struggles to honor his promise while grappling with his own growing feelings for Hildred. Set against the backdrop of a picturesque English castle, the story follows Willie's journey of self-discovery as he navigates the complexities of friendship, duty, and romance. With vivid characters and touching moments of both joy and sorrow, this classic novel explores timeless themes of fidelity and the bonds that tie us together, even when separated by distance and circumstance.
