Condizione: Good. 1860. Three documents giving information about the life and work of Benjamin Lakin. First is an original handwritten biography of Benjamin Lakin by Williams of 18 pages, written on rectos only, octavo in size. Lakin was an early Methodist circuit preacher who worked in the Northwest Territory Ohio area. Lakin was born in Montgomery County, Maryland, August 23, 1767. He died in 1848 or 1849. He married Elizabeth Roye in 1789. Second document is handwritten by W. H. Richards, 8 pages, double-sided, giving detailed information on Lakin's life. Final document is 4 pages of notes handwritten by Samuel Williams dated Cincinnati, 1860 , apparently a rough copy of a letter concerning life of Lakin. Documents are all in Good condition, no tears no chips but some light stains and light foxing. 3 documents.
