Vintage reference photograph of Florence Rice from the 1935 film, with a stamp crediting photographer Ray Jones and a mimeo snipe on the verso. Not to be confused with the 1925 silent film directed by Al Rogell and starring Reed Howes and Mildred Davis. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wi…sconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. A scientist invents a "superspeed" formula for race cars that everyone is soon fighting to own. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head…of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. A construction boss agrees to raise his estranged son after his ex-wife dies, and is dismayed to find him reading, studying, and practicing violin, and not at all interested in the more manly pursuits he was hoping to teach. Shot on location in Los Angeles. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
