Softcover. Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. Mercury 105. Gothic, erotic novel with great Bilbrew hair-pulling cover. Some faint reading-creases and slight scuffing. Some water-staining/spotting over spine. Cover copy: Bobbi Sargent could no longer live with her father. Because he worked the night shift and could no longer devote time to her, he decided that he would send his daughter to live with her mother. his former wife. When Bobbi arrives at her mother's apartment, a slovenly place above a run-down grocery store, she discovers that her mother is no longer the lady that she remembered. As a matter of fact, Bobbi's mother is no lady, period. She has taken to all-night parties with the patrons of the local saloon followed by the bedding down of all males that are still around for the finish. Bobbi's mother sees Bobbi as a new recruit to her way of life and introduces Bobbi as her sister. However, Bobbi is not too pleased with her mother's attempt to make her a call girl so she runs away with Doug King on a yacht that he has stolen. Needless to say, they are both highly physically attracted to one another. Doug's mother is a shrewish tyrant who owns half the real estate in the town and has kept Doug under her thumb since birth-amplifying her control over him with sadistic beatings. When Doug leaves with Bobbi she does all in her vicious power to prevent happiness for the young couple. Only when the most peculiar happenings occur does the old lady relent and permit what she had fought against. A shocking novel depicting the most vicious sides of human nature. First paragraph(s): The long train ride gave her plenty of time to close all the past chapters of her troubled life, but some passages would have to remain. Bobbi was guilty of contributing to the death of the kindest person she had ever known; her father. She was also guilty of abandoning the life of another important entity; her own child. The sordid details would blur with time, but the truth could not be altered. Paperback Original. Size: 4.25" x 6.75". 158 pages. Text unmarked. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
