Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Hardcover, original 1841 edition containing the works of Letitia Elizabeth Landon. Previous owner's name written in pencil on front pastedown. There's a single word written in pencil on the first free end page - appears to be the word "present". pages show various degrees of foxing with the pastedowns and end pages showing more brown than white. On page 55 there's a pressed flower, placed in there by someone's sweetheart over 170 years ago. It didn't cause any additional issues and we preferred to leave it with the book as it was part of its past. Minor bumps on cloth boards with this book being graded as VG minus.

An uncirculated ex-college library copy with label discreetly removed from foot of spine, two labels & a 'withdrawn' stamp to front endpapers, discreet stamp to title verso, & stamp to all edges of textblock. In all other respects, a near fine copy.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. This 6.5 x 9.875 inch hardcover book is the 1853 printing of this title with that date on the title page but with no additional publishing information given. This book is in only good condition with considerable time-wear showing. The red cloth covers still plainly show the elaborate gilt design work on front and back panels and spine - - with the title -*Miss Landon?s Complete Works - Boston Edition*- shown on the spine. The covers show the corners worn through but only marginally and with spine tattering to top and bottom - - but again marginally. There is developing separation of the binding cloth along the spine edges but the binding is still firmly intact and not in danger of coming apart. All edges of the text block are gilt. The interior shows a previous owners inked name on the ffep and the endpapers themselves show a severe discoloration from possibly some spillage but this does not really carry over into the text pages. The title page does indicate -*Two Volumes in One*- and lists eleven different titles as contents for this volume. The text pages are all in all about very good - - with certainly some staining showing occasionally and with time-wear stains and a bit of foxing showing - - but all in all the text pages are in good condition. This book may require additional shipping charges - - especially for any international destinations.
