Hardcover. First Edition; First Printing. Blue cloth over boards with gilt title and design on front. Some wear at spine ends and corners but overall a very attractive copy. VG to VG+. This WWI story of the US Army Chemical Warfare Service was published by two soldiers who were part of that service. All illustrations are present including the foldout, panoramic regimental photo of ''Company E, First Gas Regiment, February 6, 1919.'' Map has a short tear on one fold. Nice copy of an important book on a little-discussed US Service division. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 111 pages.
