Bound in contemporary light brown half leather with marbled boards, four wide raised bands, each with delicate gilt tooled decoration and dark red morocco title-labels to spine. I…n very good condition. Binding and hinges are intact and firm. Pages are crisp, clean, and unmarked. Light tanning or foxing to engraved title-page. Slight evidence of bookplate removed from front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. Light shelf-wear and rubbing to extremities. Boards are firmly attached with no cracking or splitting to joints. A very nice copy overall.

The damp damage affected the lower corners of the title pages, and one other. The book interior is otherwise in very good condition and deserves a better exterior.
