Draft script for the 1971 off-Broadway play, which premiered at the Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, on January 7, 1971. A comedy about the titular Tommy Flowers, a charming, freewheeling con man who finds himself homeless in Manhattan, eventually finding refuge in the apartment of a young violinist from Tampa. A black comedy set in a sanatorium, satirizing American dependence on psychotherapy. The play debuted off-Broadway on August 10, 1971, at the John Drew Theatre in East Hampton, New York, later transferring to the Booth Theatre on Broadway in 1974. Script housed in a generic black binder. Title page present, undated, with credit for playwright Terrence McNally. 73 leaves, with last page of text numbered 1-70.
