As close to the originals as you can get, this is a stunning new translation of Andersen's fairy tales by R. P. Keigwin from the original Danish text under the direction of S. Larsen, Director of the Hans Andersen Museum of Odense, Denmark. Illustrated throughout the 394 pages with the original drawings of the artist chosen by Andersen, faithfully reproduced from those exact originals, which are housed at the same Museum. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white & unmarked save for old gift inscription in blue pen to half-title page. The unclipped DJ is Good, showing some staining/bleaching between front & back, but largely unworn save for tiny chips at corners; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
