Spine is banded in front and rear boards show a large cross, all exterior page edges are gilt. Exterior shows scuffing and some fading along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues and text pages are tight. Beautifully marbled end pages in front and rear are free of any handwriting or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found other than a very faint indication of what was likely a price that was penciled on the second front end page, upper right corner. Pages are toned due to age and scattered foxing is present. Illustrated throughout with some images having tissue guards. The tissue guarded page 200 has the lower outside corner torn out - this missing piece measures about 3 inches.…
