Vintage borderless reference photograph from the 1949 film, showing director David Lean talking with producer Ronald Neame on the set. Printed mimeo snipe and J. Arthur Rank stamp on the verso. Based on H.G. Wells' 1913 novel, about a doomed love triangle between a young woman, her older husband, and the man she truly loves. Lea…n and Neame co-founded Cineguild with producer Anthony Havelock-Allan in 1944. Set in Switzerland and London, and shot on location in Haute-Savoie, France, and in London. 7.5 x 9.75 inches. Very Good plus, evenly toned.
