Large format hardcover 10x13" profusely illustrated with color and b/w photographs from the Lean family archives. Printed on high quality stock, beautifully inscribed and signed by the author, presenting her husband's strength and weakness, the many women in his complicated life, and his explosive relations with his actors and producers, about his award winning films including The Bridge on the River Kwai, Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, A Passage to India and more. His stormy relationship with Leila, his 4 th wife born in India, and much more. The book was presented to " Dearest Guy & Jo, who have formed an enormous part of the intimate story of David. Loads of Love, Sandra X". Most likely this volume was inscribed and given to Guy Green ( 1913-2005) an Oscar winning Cinematographer who worked with Sir David Lean in his earlier films, and his wife was Josephine ( known as Jo to friends), that would make this an interesting Association copy. 240 pages, a heavy volume, very good book in a very good dustjacket protected in mylar, and comes from a smoke free environment. A collectable item for the fans of David Lean. Inscribed by Author(s).
