Between these deployments, they fought in the Duke of Marlboroughâs four great victories at Blenheim, Ramillies, Oudenarde and Malplaquet, the expedition to Louisburg, the retreat to Corunna, the Peninsular war battles of Busaco, Vittoria Salamanca, San Sebastian, and the NIve; the Waterloo campaign, the Crimean War. This book contains all you would expect in such a record: not only detailed accounts of all the campaigns and actions, but officersâ roils, marching songs, regimental crests and insignia, uniform illustrations, and portraits of the regimentâs colonels.

Leather_bound. Condizione: Good. 787p, maps, plates. Thick quarto. Bound in full leather with gilt regimental crest on front cover. Edges worn and rubbed and covers scuffed; discoloration from rubbing to spine. Leather of rear hinge is cracked, although the cover remains attached. Text clean and plates bright. Good condition overall. A long and glorious record of combat from the 17th century through the Boer War. Includes a letter from J.C. Leask noting the books are currently being bound and he will supply one bound in sheep.
