Aggiungi al carrelloSoft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Single-volume vocal selections from the landmark Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, featuring music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. Contents include The Impossible Dream, Man of La Mancha (I, Don Quixote), Dulcinea, I Really Like Him, and other principal numbers, arranged for piano, vocal, and guitar. The score represents the post-1960s retail edition issued by Cherry Lane Music Company following the show's Broadway success and subsequent touring productions. The illustrated front cover bears a signed-in-plate 'Hirschfeld' signature and is attributed to Al Hirschfeld (1903-2003), the celebrated American caricaturist best known for his theatrical and Broadway artwork. The graphic style with bold black line, exaggerated theatrical figures, and limited red, black and white palette is fully consistent with Hirschfeld's commercial stage-related work of the period. While not separately credited in the publication, the signature and stylistic evidence support the attribution and add notable crossover appeal for Broadway and illustration collectors. Condition: Near Fine. Covers clean and bright with minor handling wear only; spine sound and square. Interior pages crisp and unmarked with the exception of prior owner's initial on cover and name on inside endpaper, with clean musical notation throughout. No tears, or missing pages. The score remains complete and fully usable. Edition/Printing: ISBN present (0-89524-091-2), indicating a post-1970 retail printing. Copyright line credits 1965 Andrew Scott, Inc. and Helena Music Corp., consistent with later authorized reissues rather than first-issue Broadway souvenir printings. Provenance / retail ephemera: Lower-right front cover bears a small, clear retail label from Leitz Music, Downtown Panama City, Florida, with the motto 'Brighten Your Day With Music.' The label appears original and unobtrusive, providing a clear point-of-sale marker and localized retail provenance from an independent Southern music shop. Mitch Leigh (1928-2014) was an American composer best known for Man of La Mancha, whose score earned multiple Tony Awards and became a cornerstone of Broadway history. Joe Darion (1917-2001) was a prolific lyricist and writer whose work on Man of La Mancha remains his most celebrated achievement, admired for its poetic treatment of Cervantes' themes. Cover art by Al Hirschfeld (illustratore).…
