Tijuana Sunday by Leigh Wiener 7410 Pub Co 1989 hardcover dustjacket "very good plus condition" n Nov. 1961, Leigh Wiener (1929-1993), a well-known photojournalist, shot a bullfight in Tijuana, Mexico, with an 800mm self-improvised telephoto lens. The detailed close-ups starkly depict the brutality of the sport, against the backdrop of amused and horrified spectators (including a young Dennis Hopper who happened to be at the bullring that day). It was the last event of the day and started at 4:29:40 pm. The fight was over by 4:53:15. The images are presented chronologically; each spread has a full-page image on the right hand page and the time it was taken on the left. 264 pages; 122 full-page b&w photographic plates; 8.5 x 11 inches.
