This edition is now Out of Print. "This is the account of three walking trips that Thoreau made on Cape Cod in 1849, 1850, and 1855. Thoreau found a deep satisfaction in the simplicity of the Cape Codders' ways, the bare beauty of the landscape, and the ever-present ocean.
