Sieht man Berlin, die Stadt mit dem zwiespältigen Ruf als Metropole des Glamours wie der Schmuddelecken, in den Bildern des jungen Berliner Fotografen Leo Seidel, zeigt die Stadt ein überraschend neues Gesicht - Lichterglanz, Farbenrausch - aus Aschenputtel wird über Nacht ein strahlender Stern. Das Licht in seiner wechselnden Gestalt fasziniert den Fotografen: kaltes Neonlicht von Reklametafeln und auf Baustellen, warmes Licht aus Fenstern oder von Straßenlaternen, das unwirkliche Dämmerlicht, das alle Konturen verwischt. Auf den Bildern von Leo Seidel ist nichts inszeniert, er wartet geduldig auf den richtigen Moment, auf das richtige Licht zur richtigen Zeit.
