8.5x11 inch sheet of onionskin paper, some edgewear. The 5th Ward Alderman writes to a local journalist, first congratulating him on a news story, then explaining why he has decided to pause efforts to repeal the censorship ordinance until prospects for its passage seem better. He notes that the Supreme Court was considering relevant cases. "Therefore, I have taken it on myself to wait until the adjournment of court in June. If the decisions have been handed down and they are favorable, I will introduce a repealer based on them. If no decisions have been handed down, I will proceed with introducing the repealer in any event. If the decisions are unfavorable, I will try to extract what comfort I can and would still want to advance the repealer as a matter of legislative policy.".

GOOD COPY. PICTURES AND MORE DETAILS ON REQUEST.
