Specifically it is a compilation of compulsory ice dance patterns that comprise the current test dance series used by most national figure skating associations worldwide. Dance patterns change or 'evolve' naturally, and I have endeavored to include only the most recent versions available to date. Two patterns of the Harris Tango are presently in use in the united States, and are both included; however the list of steps is the same for both patterns with one minor change for the man, which is noted. This manual uses a unique format which clearly shows the relative posi tioning of the partners to one another. Transparent colour overlays for the woman's patterns are superimposed over the man's and plainly demonstrate the technique of tracking. The list of steps are straightforward but include reminders, comments on irregularities, timing details and other information to assist skaters '. 6145L.
