Story features Lew describing various acts over the radio as he is engaging in them. Incorporates two vintage radio ad references to "Lux" (regarding feminine hygiene) and Maxwell House "Good til the Last Drop!". B+W front cover on toned/faded green card stock. Drawing on front cover is negative (white lines on black). Cover is one-piece / wraparound. Slight corrosion to single staple. Interior art is dark and vivid but the art is fairly workmanlike (though funny). Very difficult to find originals of these. Text unmarked. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Condizione: Very good. - A 10 inch high by 8-1/8 inch wide glossy black & white vintage photograph depicting radio quiz show host & comedian Lew Lehr wearing rabbit ears as he eats a carrot and fends off a stuffed bunny. Three holes are punched along the left edge. Very good. This a vintage publicity photo, not a reproduction, sent out to newspapers and periodicals of the period. Text from a printed press release is tipped onto the verso. It reads: "American Broadcasting Company - That riotous funnyman, Lou (sic) Lehr, new star of WJZ-ABC's quiz show, 'Detect and Collect' heard Thursdays at 9:30 PM, creates an Easter time problem, by feuding with the bunny over the coveted carrot.".
