This copy bears the name of "Margaret Wiswall[?], Monrovia, California" Frederic Thomas Lewis [1875-1951] was an authority on microscopic anatomy, who "edited a widely used textbook of histology and embryology" and was a former president of the American Association of Anatomists. Dr. Lewis was graduated from Harvard in 1897 and joined the medical school staff in 1902. He served as James Stillman Professor of Comparative Anatomy at Harvard from 1931 until his retirement in 1941. (New York Times obituary). Very minor wear to extremities, gilt bright, else Vg+/ No jacket.
