Hardcover bound in black quarter leather with brown cloth-covered boards. The binding is rubbed and bumped with scuffing to the leather spine and the boards. Spine ends especially rubbed. The cloth boards show heavy pale spotting. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. The second front flyleaf has an inscription reading "Ernest P. Bennett / Fort Scott, Kansas". (We have three of these posted this week; the Fourth and Fifth Readers have the name of "Baby Bennett / Fort Scott, Kansas"). The text of this book is a little toned with some sporadic foxing. Illustrated with a number of nice text engravings.
