First edition of the first German bartender's book that became the number one reference book for the German-language bartenders. The lexicon was written and compiled by two founders of the Internationale Barkeeper-Union (1909), the first European association of bartenders. They also launched a weekly newspaper the "American Bar Journal" that was spread internationally, and they also took under the responsibility to compile this lexicon for bartenders. As it is written in the foreword, the book contains all known beverages, listed in alphabetic order and it is also a recipe book for mixed drinks, the so-called "American drinks".
