Además, las bases de Gröbner han sido usadas en ciencias aplicadas tales como estadística, robótica y teoría del control. En el presente trabajo se muestran algunas aplicaciones en álgebra homológica de las bases de Gröbner de módulos sobre anillos de polinomios con coeficientes en anillos conmutativos noetherianos. Aplicaciones semejantes habían sido consideradas antes para el caso de coeficientes en cuerpos, dominios de ideales principales y dominios de Dedekind. El tratamineto presentado aquí es más general y está basado en una técnica diferente: se usa el cálculo de sicigias a través del cálculo de bases de Gröbner, para a su vez calcular resoluciones libres y con éstas calcular los módulos Ext y Tor. Con estos instrumentos se construyen algoritmos para verificar propiedades homológicas tales como ser plano, ser localmente libre, etc. 104 pp. Spanisch.
