Following an account of his experiences in World War II in the Mediterranean and North West Europe, he looks at the problems of defence in the immediate post war period, facing the Soviet threat. He raises some interesting proposals as how the threat might have been met. This copy lacks a dustwrapper and has some foxing at the page edges and the back endpapers, nonetheless it is otherwise in good condition.
