Computers, DVDs, CDs and the internet including YouTube, wikis and other websites are a part of many people s everyday life. According to the Internet World Stats, about two billion people used the internet in 2012 with North America (78.6% of the population), Australia (67.6%) and Europe (63.2%) leading the way (Internet World Stats). Using New media is natural for the children of our society as they grow up with it. They live in a world where CDs, DVDs, computers and mobile phones are just given. When they first use the internet, they are on average about nine years old (Livingstone, Haddon et al., p.23). As it is so frequently used, it is no wonder that new media has also found its way into today's classrooms offering great possibilities of learning and communication to teachers and students. At the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt in the winter session 2012/2013, a course was offered, called 'New media in teaching semantics' by Professor Manfred Sailer. In this course, his students got to know different types of new media and how those could be used in teaching semantics. Furthermore, they designed online material for a semantics' introductory course and created an own wiki including podcasts, material for an interactive whiteboard and topic related explanations and tasks. At the moment, Professor Manfred Sailer is working on a book on semantics which is also used in the mentioned introductory course. In this paper, the chapter on 'Predicate logic' will be analyzed. Therefore, it will be compared to other books on the same topic and evaluated from the viewpoint of a student having completed both mentioned courses. Furthermore, additional e-learning material will be created for the mentioned book chapter. The advantages of that will be explained.…

Von den 82,1 Millionen Einwohner haben 15,6 Millionen, also 19%, einen Migrationshintergrund. Es findet sich eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Kulturen und Lebensstilen. Auch in den deutschen Schulen hat die Vielfalt der Schüler in den letzten Jahren stark zugenommen. Die Klassen setzten sich aus Jungen und Mädchen, Schülern mit Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitsyndrom, Hochbegabten, Schülern mit Migrationshintergrund und solchen mit Behinderung zusammen. Auch unterscheiden sich die Schüler oft stark in ihren Begabungen, Sprachkenntnissen und kognitiven Voraussetzungen. Gerade in Deutschland wird diese Vielfältigkeit oft als anstrengend und problematisch angesehen. In keinem anderen Land in Europa wird beispielsweise so früh auf die verschiedenen weiterführenden Schulen selektiert wie in Deutschland und somit ein Versuch unternommen, die Vielfältigkeit und Verschiedenheit der Schüler innerhalb einer Klasse auf ein Minimum zu beschränken. Auch besitzt Deutschland ein sehr verzweigtes und ausgebautes Sonderschulwesen, wodurch der Anteil behinderter Kinder an allgemeinbildenden Schulen nur 15,7 % beträgt. Als entscheidender Vorteil dieses Lernens in Schule und Betrieb wird immer wieder die Verknüpfung theoretischen Wissens mit praktischer Tätigkeit angeführt. Die Auszubildenden sollen 'in der Theorie lernen, was sie in der Praxis anwenden' und so optimal auf die Anforderungen im Beruf vorbereitet werden. Um dies zu gewährleisten müssen sich die Inhalte, die in der Berufsschule vermittelt werden, vor allem an den Prozessen beruflicher Tätigkeiten orientieren. Die Rahmenlehrpläne der KMK wurden deshalb im Jahr 2000 umstrukturiert. Der Aufbau richtet sich seitdem nach Lernfeldern, die anhand beruflichen Tätigkeitsfeldern entwickelt wurden und so die Anwendungsorientierung und Praxis-relevanz des Berufsschulunterrichts verstärken sollen.Die Umsetzung dessen wird jedoch immer wieder heftig kritisiert. Dabei soll sich auf Auszubildende zum Industriekaufmann im zweiten oder dritten Lehrjahr bezogen werden. Die Inhalte der Berufsschule werden auf die ersten fünf Lernfelder beschränkt.Zu Beginn der Studie wird zunächst der Begriff 'anwendungsorientiert' definiert sowie einige Studien zum Thema vorgestellt. In dieser Arbeit wurde neben der theoretischen Aufbereitung des Themas eine Studie zur Erforschung des Boreout-Syndroms durchgeführt. Dafür wurden 37 Büroangestellte (davon 15 Azubis) sowie 15 Krankenhausmitarbeiter mittels eines schriftlichen Fragebogens befragt. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die Existenz des Boreout-Syndroms: bei drei der Befragten konnte bereits ein Boreout festgestellt werden, neun zeigen diesbezüglich eine starke Tendenz. Auch wurde bestätigt, dass das Phänomen in Berufen, in denen die Arbeit unmittelbar anfällt wie z.B. bei Krankenschwestern/-pflegern, nicht vorkommt. Des Weiteren wurde der Frage nachgegangen, inwieweit das Alter und der Status der Beschäftigung (Auszubildender vs. andere Angestellte) einen Einfluss auf die Anfälligkeit für das Boreout-Syndrom haben. Im ersten Fall besteht zwar ein Mittelwertunterschied, jedoch konnte keine praktische Relevanz nachgewiesen werden. Im zweiten Fall konnte kein nennenswerter Unterschied gefunden werden.
