Vacchini ha così ripercorso la sua stessa autobiografia architettonica consegnandoci delle riflessioni con le quali possiamo continuare a misurarci non per trovare delle sintonie con Vacchini, ma per dare al progetto di architettura la dignità che nasce solo se la consideriamo "questione mentale" e sintesi tra una dimensione teoretica e una tecnico costruttiva. Livio Vacchini se ne è andato dieci anni fa. Le sue opere, che sfuggono a qualsiasi definizione o collocazione storico critica, continuano a porci delle domande che non riguardano solo il Contemporaneo dell'architettura, ma la sua stessa natura e la sua storia, una storia senza tempo.
