Paperback. Condizione: Very Good. 1986 Gloucester County Historical Society (Woodbury, New Jersey), 8 3/8 x 11 inches tall paperbound in pale blue printed covers, index, [3], xx, [1], 174, [4], 19 pp. Slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with a bit of bumping to the lower spine edge and creasing to the tips. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this uncommon genealogy. ~J~ [2.0P] In January 1648, the Reverend Larrs Karlsson Lock arrived in America to become pastor of the Lutheran congregation in the Swedish colony established at Fort Christina near what is now Wilmington, Delaware. The Reverend Lock was married twice, first to a woman named Catherine, then in 1662 to Beata Lum (Lom); eight children have been identified. He also owned land and a plantation at Ridley Creek, Pennsylvania. Eight generations of descendants, most of whom have lived in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, are identified. In addition to hundreds of descendants named Lock or Locke, other surnames which receive extensive coverage (among many others) include: Adams, Batten, Cade, Cox, Dahlbo, Hendrickson, Hoffman, Jones, Justice, Keen, McIlvaine, Mullen, Packer, Peterson, Shaw, VanNeaman / Vaneaman / Venneman / Venaman, Zane.
