This repor…t analyses existing national and international judicial institutions and evaluates their capacity to resolve disputes peacefully. It compares courts, arbitration tribunals, and conciliation commissions, outlining their legal foundations, procedures, and practical effectiveness. Particular attention is given to conciliation as a flexible, non-coercive method that can complement formal judicial settlement. The report argues that stable peace requires permanent international institutions, clear legal norms, and compulsory mechanisms for dispute resolution.The report was published by the Organisation centrale pour une paix durable (Central Organization for a Durable Peace), an international peace organization founded in The Hague in 1915. Composed of jurists, pacifists, and advocates of international law, the organization promoted a 'new diplomacy', binding arbitration, and institutionalized international cooperation. The report is an early intellectual precursor to later bodies such as the League of Nations and the Permanent Court of International Justice. Condition : very good copy.
