Interesting Foreword by the family of Abijah Long who explained that they spent two years verifying the facts of the story of finding the caves in the early years of the 20th century.The caves were mined for guano with ~Abijah Long owning the mining claim. First 56 pages are Abijah's story and then Joe N Long [his son] outlines the history of the Caverns - putting them at 60 million years old.Part 3 is The Big Cave today complete with Visitor Centre. Overall a fascinating book. The caverns are now part of the National Parks and still an important tourist attraction126pp Illustrated. 19cm x 13.5cm Text and illustrations Very Good. Pictorial cover is rubbed and slightly creased but complete.
