Dust jacket soiled and well rubbed, usual color fading to spine panel's red title lettering, chipping at spine and flap fold ends, nicks and creasing as well as a few short tears at panel edges; dj now presented in a mylar Bro…dart protector. Black cloth rubbed, some scuffing at top and bottom board edges, front board's top corner worn, light staining to front board, spine ends scuffed with shallow cloth loss at head, spine's orange lettering remains vibrant. Several small slender stains to lightly toned fore-edge with a few leaves fractionally affected at margins; mild toning to endpapers. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. A good+ copy in a good dust jacket.

Starr had a longtime affair with Long and was the basis for film entitled 'Blaze" starring Paul Newman. Also includes laid-inthe original New York Times obituary for Ms. Starr. SIGNED.
