Crimson red cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. Condition very good, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, spine slightly faded, spotting to end-papers, a little very faint spotting to some pages but contents generally clean. The plates are printed on glossy paper and are very clean and bright. With 8 colour plates including frontispiece, all drawn by Lesley Blanch.

reprint. Green cloth boards, silver lettering to spine, no dustwrapper. 7.5ins x 5ins, xxv, (I), 274pp plus frontis and 22pp plates. Introduction by Samuel Looker. Three line inscription to front free endpaper. VG.
