Vintage studio still photograph from the 1967 film. With one provenance stamp on the verso. Based on the 1964 novel, "The Pilgrim Project" by Hank Searls. During the Space Race, NASA decides to follow the Soviets plans to send a lone civilian to the moon a year before the Apollo 11 mission. Shot on location in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Marina del Rey, California and at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, the McDonnell Douglas Astronauts Co. plant in Huntington Beach, California, and TRW Space Park in Redondo Beach, Florida. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good with pinholes from staples and a corresponding chip to the top center of the image. Also unevenly trimmed along the bottom edge. Weldon 1983.
