Unbound. Condizione: Very Good. Two letters concerning the employment of James M. Lotz with the railroad in 1889 and 1890. Very good with folds from mailing and tears. The first letter is an autograph letter signed from Philadelphia councilman C.L. Cleary to a Railroad Superintendent in December of 1889. He writes, "The bearer James M. Lotz is a friend of mine and out of employment and it will be a great accommodation to me if you will give him work" He continues, " I have never made an urgent request in the past but the character of the bearer fully warrants anything I can say in his behalf." The second is a typed letter signed from the office of the People's Passenger Railway Company offering Lotz a conductor position.
