Wraps. Kistler, James E. (Cover Art) (illustratore). Presumed first edition/first printing. vi, 38 p. Endnotes. From an on-line posting: "For nearly two centuries, the principles of war have guided practitioners of the military art. During the last 55 years the principles of war have been a key element of U.S. Army doctrine, and recently they have been incorporated into other Service and Joint doctrines. The turn of the 21st century and the dawn of what some herald as the "Information Age, " however, may call into question whether principles originally derived in the 19th century and based on the experience of "Industrial Age" armed forces still hold. Moreover, despite their long existence, the applicability of the principles of war at the strategic level of warfare has not been the subject of detailed analysis or assessment. William T. Johnsen held the Elihu Root Chair of Military Studies at the U.S. Army War College from 1994-97. A former Infantry officer, Dr. Johnsen served in a variety of troop leading, command, and staff assignments. He holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. iv Military Academy, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Duke University. Dr. Johnsen also is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. Very good. No dust jacket. Cover has slight wear and soiling.

Fotografia
Vintage borderless black-and-white double single reference still photograph from the 1976 film. Fifth in the "Kong" series of films, and the second to be titled simply "King Kong." Fred Wilson (Grodin), an oil magnate from Petrox Oil, is looking for new petroleum deposits on a recently discovered Pacific island. Jack Prescott (Bridges) is a paleontologist, stowing away on Wilson's ship, who warns that they are headed for "Skull Island," where prehistoric monsters still live and roam free. Also along for the ride is Dwan (Lange), shipwrecked in the ocean after the sinking of a yacht. The group lands on the island and a giant ape, Kong, becomes fascinated by Dwan. The ape kidnaps her but Prescott comes to her aid. Wilson locks Kong in the cargo hold of his ship and transports him to New York City. Once there, Kong manages to escape and wreak havoc upon the city, before being compelled to climb up the World Trade Center for sanctuary. Set in New York, shot on location in California and Hawaii. Winner of a Special Achievement Academy Award, and a Special Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. Basis for the sequel and box-office mishap, "King Kong Lives," starring Linda Hamilton. 7.75 x 10 inches. Near Fine, with brief ink annotations on the verso. Lentz, 9. 1251. Muir US.

Fully revised and updated, Flow Cytometry Protocols highlights the expanding contribution of flow cytometry to basic biological research and diagnostic medicine. The text presents cutting-edge topics, such as polychromatic, quantitative, and high throughput flow cytometry, and more. With rapid improvements in instrumentation, lasers, fluorophores, and data analysis software, flow cytometry is riding the crest of unprecedented, innovative advances. This thoroughly revised and up-to-date third edition of Flow Cytometry Protocols highlights the expanding contribution of flow cytometry to basic biological research and diagnostic medicine. Written by leading experts in the field, the book presents cutting-edge topics such as polychromatic, quantitative, and high throughput flow cytometry, novel multiparametric data analysis which breaks the dimensionality barrier, standard practice and safety measures for aerosol-generating cell sorting, conventional and imaging flow cytometry as well as minimalist imaging cytometry. As a volume in the highly successful Methods in Molecular Biology series, chapters contain brief introductions to their respective topics, lists of the necessary materials and reagents, step-by-step, readily reproducible laboratory protocols, and extensive notes on troubleshooting and avoiding known pitfalls. Authoritative and comprehensive, Flow Cytometry Protocols, Third Edition presents established as well as new flow cytometric methodologies in order to introduce beginning users to basic applications while opening new avenues of innovation for seasoned users.
