With a Foreword by Derek Underwood, this is Lucky's own story told in a self-deprecating manner and with great humility, considering he achieved so much. Luckhurst dedicated the book to Colin Cowdrey whom he called simply 'The Master'. SIGNED "Best Wishes, Brian Luckhurst" on page 3 which, in this book, is opposite inside front cover. Minuscule wear to top right corner of cover and first few pages; a previous owner's name written neatly at top of page 3; minor wear on rear cover edges; but overall very good. Signed by Author(s).

Brian "Lucky" Luckhurst (1939-2005) spent his entire cricket career with Kent, as a player 1958-76, as cricket manager 1981-86, then cricket administrator and finally President, a position he held until his death. He had 21 Tests for England and was a key member on the victorious 1970-71 Ashes tour. Paperback. 8vo. 110pp. Profusely illustrated. Pictorial soft wrappers, very good.
