Condizione: Muy bueno. First published in 1942, "Wintrobe's Clinical Hematology" continues its tradition of excellence in correlating basic science with the clinical practice of hematology. This is the most comprehensive hematology book on the market and is organized to help physicians find clinical answers quickly and easily. The Eleventh Edition places a greater emphasis on clinical hematology, especially molecular aspects and new therapies. Most chapters have been revised or reconfigured, and seven new chapters have been added: Gene Therapy, Congenital Immunodeficiency Syndromes, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in Adults, Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in Children, Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, Systemic Mastocytosis, and Diagnosis and Classification of Lymphoproliferative Disorders. Essentially anything relevant to laboratory hematology, normal hematopoiesis and hemostasis and their various components, and disorders of red blood cells is contained in the first volume with all else in the second. As an authoritative hematology resource, the 11th edition of Wintrobe's Clinical Hematology is well suited for hematology subspecialists, with enough introductory material to make it accessible to students and trainees." Hardcover, 8" x 5¼", lacking jacket 256 pages "He was the greatest showman in the world," his grandson claimed, "and he ran the greatest show that has ever been seen. He was generous and afraid of nothing!" This book tells the story of 'Lord' George Sanger as recalled by his grandson. 'Lord' was a roadside conjurer and exhibitor of a Performing Oyster before he hit the big time. Some say he was murdered and his killer suicided shortly after, but the grandson lays that tale to rest. Many circus high-jinx here! Book in VERY GOOD condition.

Arte / Stampa / Poster Copia autografata
Stunning aquatint etching by the California artist, Harold Doolittle (1883-1974), of Yosemite's Half Dome. On the back is a small label from Doolittle's studio at 1520 Rose Villa St. in Pasadena, a Spanish Colonial house he designed and built himself in 1924. Doolittle was also a printmaker, his work here on display in the beautiful printing of Muir's quotation from his unpublished journals, 1938. A fine set, featuring one of his best known works, from the multitalented Pasadena artist. 8x10cm etching, signed by Doolittle in lower margin, mounted to board along with a letterpress printed quote from Muir, with gilt initial. The two prints matted together and suitable for framing. Fine condition with a couple minor blemishes to matting.
