Scarce Belgian treatise on electrical engineering and direct-current technology, published in Ghent in 1964 and bearing the author signatures as specified by the publisher. Second edition of Volume I, Courant Continu, from Jean Dagneaux and Roger A. Lully's substantial Électrotechnique: Théorie générale et machines à courant continu et à courant alternatif. Written by Belgian engineers and technical educators, the work provides an extensive treatment of direct-current electrical theory and machinery, supported by numerous diagrams, calculations, tables, technical explanations and problems. The publication is particularly interesting as a document of post-war Belgian electrical-engineering education and industrial standardisation. Contemporary advertising for the work specifically highlighted its use of the MKS system, Belgian standards and conventions associated with IBN, CEBEC and FABRIMETAL. An earlier Vyncke edition is bibliographically recorded in 1955, establishing the publication history preceding this 1964 second edition. The copyright page carries the printed statement "Tous les exemplaires sont revêtus des signatures des auteurs", immediately followed by the author signature/signatures in red ink. A handwritten date, apparently 25 November 1976, is present below the signatures. No major structural defects or missing pages are apparent from inspection.
