Herausgegeben von Roland Schmid".- "'Ein Schundverlag' ist eine 1905 entstandene Prozessschrift, in der Karl May mit seinem ehemaligen Verleger Heinrich Gotthold Münchmeyer abrechnet. Der Privatdruck kommt als Fragment einher, war aber nie umfangreicher. Er ist paginiert (beginnt mit Seite 257) und enthält eine Reihe von fiktiven Verweisen auf nicht vorhandene Abschnitte oder sogar einen Band 2. Gedruckt wurden die Bögen von Alwin Risse. May forderte jeweils mehrere Exemplare an; trotzdem ist nicht klar, welche Pläne er konkret damit verfolgte. Zu Mays Lebzeiten blieb der Text unveröffentlicht.
