Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Dearest reader, it saddens me to be the one to tell you that you have been callously mislead regarding the true story of Cinderella. I'm afraid everything you think you know is wrong, starting with her name, which was not Cinderella at all but Rose. It was her stepsister who snuck into the ball. The glass slipper left on the palace stairs was in fact a thick-soled, orthopedic shoe. Most shocking of all is the small role these distilled and distorted events played in what was truly an extraordinary life. It is time we stopped the rumors, gossip, and flat-out lies regarding the poor, subservient, ladder-climbing "Cinderella" and restored Rose Bagabeenee of the Moose District to her rightful place in fairytale history. I, for one, can no longer be an accomplice through my silence. This is the story of Rose Bagabeenee, the only child of Lady Torvikia and Lord Trobert, who came into this world with one leg shorter than the other--or longer. As her father always said: "It depends entirely on your point of view!" Discover the chellenges and insights growing up with uneven legs afforded Rose, not the least of which were dozens of pairs of fabulous shoes! If you like extraordinary inventions, courier pigeons, hand-roasted giant queen leaf cutter ants dipped in dark chocolate, and you're not afraid of Arachna Grimy-Rroomni (commonly referred to as the "ticklers of death"), or the challenges growing up with a physical disability can throw your way-then this is the adventure for you!
