Gray cloth cover with carmine artwork. The backstrip is somewhat discolored. The corners are all bruised. There is a chip/ broken piece 1/2" x 1/2" at the top juncture of front cover and backstrip. Some other bruising on the crown and foot of the backs trip. INSIDE: on the flyleaf, a previous owner's name and an earlier price stamp. The pages are bright, but there are lots pf pencil notes and underlines throughout the text. Binding is strong but has obviously been opened many times. 614 pages plus 82-page vocabulary . Packaged using bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box. Tracking number provided for no extra cost. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page, we can just barely see where old pricing info was penciled in the corner and then later erased. The text pages are toned due to age and type of paper used. There is an issue with the end pages and pastedowns as they have darkened areas on them. The rear pastedown also has a small vertical line near the upper right corner.

Internally, previous owner's signature (in pencil) on paste-down front endpaper, paper lightly age yellowed, a 2 inch and a 3 inch tear on lower edge of 1 leaf, both tape repaired, two or three approximately 1 inch tears on other leaves, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Consists of full page words and music to Mother Goose rhymes, each surrounded by a delightful color drawing by Mabel B Hill. Children's; music; art. *****************.
