Some slackness to bindings, cracking to front inner hinges of volumes 1, 2 and 5, the odd crack elsewhere. A loose colour plate in volume 2 between pages 722-723. Book contents appear to be otherwise reasonably firm. Page edges slightly browned, marked and scuffed, but generally quite clean. Upper page edges gilt, with some scuffing and marking but still quite visible. A little marking to endpapers, the odd mark to page surfaces but otherwise clean and do not appear to contain any inscriptions, underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.Cracking to front inner hinges of volumes 1, 2 and 5.
