Evoking the fevered atmosphere of a beautiful country that does not encourage too much examination of its past, MacKinnon meet the people who remember all too well what it was like live mortal fear if they dared to challenge the landowners and the police. Brilliantly pieced together and threaded in with an account of the country's history and beautifully observed travelogue.
